The classic Georgian House in Wisbech was occupied by the Peckover family for over 150 years. Built in 1722 on the bank of the River Nene this spot is frequently used to film period dramas, including BBC's David Copperfield. It's a must visit if you're in the area.

Octavia Hill was an English social reformer, whose main concern was the welfare of working people. In fact, her whole family had a strong commitment to lessening poverty.

Fox Narrowboats offer day boat hire down the beautiful Fenland Waterways. The day boats have a lovely interior including a kitchen space! The day trips last about 6 and a half hours and you can even bring your dog along for the ride.

Elgood's Brewery is a family business established over 200 years ago and run by the Elgood Family since 1878. Situated in the heart of the Fenlands in Cambridgeshire this was one of the first classic Georgian Breweries to be built outside of London!

You may be surprised to learn that Wisbech Museum is home to the original transcript of Great Expectations by Charles Dickens!

This museum is one of the oldest in the United Kingdom, it's been open since 1847! It's a treasure house of rare and unusual artefacts, illuminating history, both local and worldwide, recent and ancient.

They also have regular activities for children so the whole family can enjoy the day out.

Skaters

Skaters, located outside Wisbech in Walpole Highway is a roller skating rink for all ages. They host birthday parties, play some excellent music and are open Tuesday - Sunday. Sandringham Estate may be 40 minute drive from the hotel but it's well worth the trip. This stunning house and gardens is the Norfolk retreat for Her Majesty The Queen and rightly so, it's beautiful.

The house is set on 24 hectares of stunning gardens that are open to the public, free of charge. It's suggested you allow about 4 hours to explore the grounds as there's also a museum to check out.
